Likewise.. I'm taking my time with it for the same reason. Mafia II is probably the only other title that I'm really interested in this year (the original Mafia was excellent).
Did you get your Deadly Assassin outfit then? |

No, but I haven't been chasing the outfits apart from the legend of the west. Only have the hunting ones to go. Now doing ranch chores for the in-game wife - ah the joys of modern gaming.
That Oberführer Helga von Bulow is quite the angry woman. |

Re: Canada Day in Canada
I got twisted, all hung over at the moment. Same as every other Canada Day. Beach, fireworks, BBQ, camp fire on the beach, guitars, too much booze,.. etc.

Re: Canada Day in Canada
I can't tell you what our neighbours or anyone else did, but I can tell you what we did...
We got up late. Packed a lunch (beef sarnies, hard boiled eggs, babybel cheese, olives, apples, cereal bars, juice boxes and tea in a flask for us adults). Threw the lunch and the 4 kids in the car and drove to a provincial park a couple of hours away. Wandered around a bit. Ate lunch. Wandered around a bit more. Child #3 fell in a big pile of bear poo so we decided it was time to go home. Child #3 then threw up in the car. Got home, disinfected Child #3 and the car. Decided that the leftover sarnies would make a cracking dinner for the kids when supplemented by the leftover soup in the fridge from the day before. DH and I opened a bottle of wine. Kids went to bed exhausted, we flopped down on the sofa with a crap film and the wine while feeling exhausted... and eventually went to bed... |
Re: Canada Day in Canada
I haven't looked at the site for a while so missed this, but Canada Day we went and sang at Heritage Park in Calgary .... where it's known as Dominion Day.
We had free pancake breakfasts there (hubby had three!) and rode on a train between performances. Then came home and cooked supper on the barbeque. Quite a nice day generally :) |
Re: Canada Day in Canada
We went to the lake with friends, but left after 20 minutes as the mosquitoes were eating us alive even after we applied half a can of bug spray.
So friends invited us back for a BBQ but upon arrival we were hit by one of the worst storms in years! Left Yorkton in a state of emergency! We were one of the lucky ones and didn't get flooded out, but feel really bad for the ones that lost everything. Yep it was a memorable Canada for the people of Yorkton SK!:( |
