The distinct lack of good cheese in supernarkets near me is apalling. So is the fact that my parents buy the "plastic cheese" in the store and say im crazy when i tell them its plastic cheese and basically tasteless

Yes we eat feta and we have very good local peppered goat cheese in Gozo. Irkotta / rikotta is used in pastizzi - our national tasty pastry

I seem to remember, rather vaguely, that Mimolette isn't that bad, although not generally a fan of hard cheese
(& I don't think it's Normandy anyway!!)
If & when car is fixed enough for the trip (worth it's own thread), I'm on a mission for Qc cheese, & homegrown lamb.
