As if you've not been spreading it around already. :p:p

I don't think you can karma someone twice in a row. You may even have to karma 2 or more other people before you can give karma to whomever you're trying to give it to. Karma, I said Karma, you dirty mind.

You could karma me, that would come as a shocker!!!:sneaky::wub:

Then again, i'd have to say something sensible or witty for that to happen!! Oh well! lol

And back on thread...
Like everyone else on BE I'm sure I asked some pretty dumb questions at the start... and took all the answers/opinions with a hefty 'pinch of salt'. A sense of humour is obligatory as is a certain sangfroid in the face of gratuitous insults. However a cautionary tale has been running on the immigration forum and I commend it to everyone.

mmm but I suppose the odd thing relating to this is that all the time this was going on (not that I am fully aware what 'this' is ;)) Andrew was on here giving free advice etc. We all see ourselves as relatively intelligent adults, but I think we all got taken in - I mean we're not some 95 year old thats been had by a door to door salesman

So to tentatively link the two threads - a bit of ribbing along with definitive answers on this forum fom Joe Public suits me just fine!!!!!

I agree on the ribbing... but would add a proviso on the answers from Joe P: BE is a virtual community and just like any neighbourhood you have to exercise judgement when deciding whether that person's opinion or advice is worth taking.

What's particularly sad about the AM saga is that honest people took in good faith the reputation he had carefully cultivated over years on this forum and now find themselves out of pocket. Yet it turns out that doubts were raised over this man as far back as 2003. Each time he came up with a plausible disclaimer or threatened a lawsuit (shades of Gillian McKeith every time someone challenged her right to call herself Dr) and then unfortunately one lady went to such extreme lengths to discredit him that it strengthened him instead. All very persuasive for a long while... but the game's up now.

I guess that means we're both guilty of the thread title... if I ever get to a supermarket I'll get one of each. Can't promise this trip though - just too many meetings and too much on.
