Calling all smoker's

All indoor places are enforced but can't say I've noticed at outdoor places.

Was that the equivalent of saying " look there's a badger with a gun" and then running away from the point ?

You stated a fact ( which even as a smoker I agree with ) and implied it was unique to NS, which it isn't, by wording it "I am not a smoker either and am so glad it's banned in public places in Nova Scotia". Then when it wasn't, came up with another.
Anyway, I think they are looking at bringing that one in NB too, and again, even as a smoker I agree with too.

We now have a smoking ban in parks and beaches here in Kelowna. The city cannot afford to erect multiple signs telling people so they are assuming people will hear about it and be advised by bylaw officers giving out warnings. Then apparently the Interior Health who have been campaigning for it might offer some monetary help for signs. That's coming from an organization that fails miserably to keep their own hospital "smokefree" inside and out as anyone using the rear entrance will know.
Most people ignore the fact that you cannot smoke withing "x" meters of doorways as nobody enforces it the same as most seem to ignore the cell phone ban in cars and most other driving laws come to that.
How can RCMP stop people from smoking in cars if they have underage children on board when the smoked out rear windows on most vehicles make it impossible to see who's on board anyway. Oh thats another law, you cannot have tinted windows beyond a certain level............

Cradle Canadians like legislating and this sort of thing allows lots of them to be involved in writing laws, so long as they're not enforced I don't think any harm comes of it and we should indulge their love of regulations.

I don't think there's any intent that these laws be enforced. Cell phone bans, bicycle helmet laws, cat herding requirements, smoke bans, they're just noise.

Not sure i've heard of "cat herding requirements"

No Golden Virginia here - may I suggest moving on to Drum - can get that in various places and yes papers too tho not the trusted Rizla unless you like the orange ones that are like cardboard!! The stuff they use to make cigarettes in tubes and the stuff you buy in a tin is super super dry (well what I tried anyhow) quite revolting actually, but Drum is good - just the same as at home. You can also get swan filters in some of the specialist smoke shops!
I was a drum smoker, only gave up a couple of months ago. Smoking is not the done thing here in Nova Scotia, lots of nasty looks and comments from others - used to hack me right off to be honest
- Very self righteous types round here. And without doubt, rocking up places making roll-ups you will be thought of as a druggy- quite entertaining at times! I havnt met a single person round here that smokes roll-ups; just tailer mades or dope, thats it - not that theres anything wrong with either!

Pretty much word for word what I wrote up thread
...
You can get Rizla blue papers here in pretty much every smoke shop, I know, I use them..
As I said earlier, try the light blue Drum, it's less "Old Holborny"....
