Default British Christmas telly

I watched the remake of Open All Hours, which was a bit cheesy but had a few chuckles, others include:

NMTB = B+
QI = C- (Can't stand Jo Brand and that fat angry bloke)
WILTY = B+ (Mainly because Barry Cryer was hilarious)
Not Going Out = C
Midsomers Murders = C

I'm watching Moonfleet at the moment and at the moment its getting a resounding C. That said, I'm rather looking forward to the C4 documentary, Dogging Tales, should be a fun evening's viewing when HID family come round for tea.

Anyone watched anything worthwhile?

Yeah - it was the head waving that made it. That and the 'sex box' were the highlights for me.

Only watched Downton, thought it was reasonably good in a light entertainment sort of way.

Watched the documentary about Open All Hours too. That, I thought, was better than the show itself.

Also watched the Sherlock mini-series. Looking forward to the next season staring in January!

And have to watch Corrie! A regular on our tv screens, but not the best Christmas episode ever. It seemed tv in general wasn't all that good here or in England.

You need to get hold of some 'standard' episodes.

Even better live on stage. Just about wet ourselves when we saw the show live.

I was actually in the UK for this Christmas and managed to miss practically all of the above save for the Downton Christmas special which was gently OK. Of course the real Christmas tradition was the re-run of Where Eagles Dare on the 19th. All together now "Broadsword calling Danny Boy, Broadsword calling Danny Boy...."

The new 'Open All Hours' was the most watched programme on Christmas TV, so much so that there may well be a new series..

Gangsta Granny was good, whilst a "kids book" by David Walliams. Miranda Hart brilliant, and I thought Robbie Williams did a great spoof.

Caught all the usual, nothing stood out, did tear up at the present Dr leaving, not sure how I feel about Capaldi! Want David Tennant back!!!
