Protein shake, a Banana, and Almond Butter on toast this morning for me

I'm having a long weekend in Tofino so will let my belly hang loose and enjoy more luxurious breakfasts for a few days.

What kind of protein shake do you buy? I got one called IsoGold but it has artificial sweetener in it and doesn't agree with me. Although for the $70 I'll force the stuff down. :(

Have to be careful with the protein shakes - the majority of them use Soy as the protein source, and Soya contains chemicals that mimic estrogen. Not good, particularly if you're male.

Mine's mostly whey and it has less than 1% soya.

BSN Synthia 6, strawberry flavour. It's the tastiest one i've had.

I get it from YVS on the corner of Burrard and 4th.

After watching 4Bells jump around on the telly I thought I'd better have a protein shake mixed with some berries. I really wanted a bacon sarnie though. :(

This protein shake stuff is for those trying to bulk up or uber-fitness types aren't they? Why would a normal mortal have one? Genuine question.

Yes! I am always amazed when some big old sort comes out of Zumba after not breaking a sweat and starts gulping down a protein shake! That's prob more calories than I have in a whole day!

I use them after my weight-training workouts to help with building muscle.
