After reading the reviews it seems that the Hilltop may have gotten all Hollywood since I was there last.... but back then it was great.

My mate had a Molson beer fridge on his balcony for his beer, He worked at the local Molson brewery and they gave him free beer. I'd often visit.

Last night the meat I was going to cook for supper wasn't quite thawed yet, (so just made sausages and perogies), so this morning for breakfast I had moose heart fried in bacon grease with onion gravy and chips. Oh man was it good! There was enough flour in the scrapings from the dredged heart slices I didn't have to add any, just some butter, a touch of beef stock, and emptied the merlot sitting on top of the fridge then a few oz of water and it thickened up just as the onions were done. The salt and pepper in the dredging and steak spice I sprinkled on the meat in the pan meant no additional seasoning was needed. Paired with a cold Bohemian.

The rest will make a nice little stew.

2 slices of wholegrain toast with tomato, and a mug of coffee.
(well someone has to have an ordinary breakfast!)

I had toast (sourbread) with blackcurrant jam this morning.
I usually have a couple of crispbread slices with a bit of brie. Goes great with coffee.

A microwave 'moc scrambled egg' (takes 25 seconds - no fat or salt - 35 calories) on a half slice of dry wholegrain toast followed by a bowl of Quaker Oats so thick you can cut it with a knife, with a little maple syrup on top - all washed down with one of my 4 decaf coffees of the day and a large glass of water.

1 litre of dark roast coffee with cream and sugar, toast, and a big bowl of corned beef hash with 2 fried eggs on it, Frank's Red Hot sauce. Don't ask about fat and salt.

Sausage and eggs and potatoes. The leftover batter from last night was still in the fridge and the oil was still in the wok, so I made some sausage patties with chives, and diced the leftover chips with a green onion for hashbrowns. This means lunch will likely include the half-dozen shrimp left from supper and 1.5 battered sausage patties - not just my usual ramen and kimchi at work.

Do you leave the wok and the oil on the stove all the time or do you refrigerate it when you are finished using it? Doesn't using the oil for so many different types of food change the taste of the foods you are frying.

Not that I can use the answers, we don't eat anything deep fried. Just am curious.

No. The little bit of oil used to fry something in the wok goes into the "used oil" jug and the wok lives in the drawer in bottom of the stove. The reason for using it is explained above.
