Alright his official name is Henry but in the US he was known as Henny. So there! This morning I just had vanilla slices and coffee. Every time I got up yesterday evening to perform a task I'd forgotten before bedtime or to check on the slow cooker I'd reward myself with a vanilla slice, so half of them were left for breakfast. |
Re: Breakfast Choices
You don't want to put a nice hot breakfast on a cold plate.

Is that poached eggs on a hot dog bun?
I'd welcome that lovely steak. |

That ad on TV about how eggs for dinner isn't stupid must mean I can have this for breakfast... If there's a chance of going out for lunch tomorrow I'll have to skip breakfast.

I think you'd like it. I've never had any over here that holds its shape; it always seems to turn to mush whereas in the UK you could slice it, grill it (or fry it) and it stays a slice. Same taste though. Drool...
I've read enough opinions on a few English Breakfast threads here over the years to know it isn't a universal favourite. |

I was going to have bacon and tomato on a bagel, but changed my mind and went with tacos. Beef and onion with guacamole.

If you can get your hands on this stuff, I would. It's a cross between hot sauce and a spicy salsa. But it's so tasty, especially for breakfast. I think it's made in Penticton BC. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...c79173ef8.jpeg |

It's probably great, but $7.50 for a tiny bottle is usurious. Next time I'm in Penticton, though, I might try to track down his shop and get some Jamaican food.

Re: Breakfast Choices
Kale smoothie and a bowl of All Bran with apricot slices and skim milk.
https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...a73f33b29d.jpg I ate all that, then checked my Lotto Max ticket to see if I could afford servants to dress me and carry me around. I thought "If I'm that rich, I'm not moving." $2 winner; time to get going. |
Re: Breakfast Choices
I need some breakfast choice inspiration really.
Thought of doing pancakes or maybe savoury muffins. Himself will not have a kipper fot b/f |

Re: Breakfast Choices
I just bought HID a tiny baguette sandwich and cake in a local shop and it cost me $18. You could feed a family of four at Greggs for that.

Why on earth would anyone be angry at a food product that they don't have to eat if they don't want to? It's Gammonism gone mad.

Re: Breakfast Choices
Today's brekkie will be fried Weisswurst with scrambled eggs and toast. Would have preferred dark bread with fresh butter but not to be had.
Bev .. slice a thick piece of Challah or white bread. Make a pocket in the slice and spread softened cream cheese and some raspberry jam inside. Dip it in french toast prepared eggs and fry. Serve with syrup and more jam. Delish. |
