I'm eating the leftovers from last night; chicken tikka and lamb curry and naan from Tandoori Palace on Commercial. I've got tea but pondering having a small Bushmills just to round things out.

What exactly is "lamb curry"? Is that really what it was called?

I have the menu in my pocket; "Lamb cooked in traditional sauces and spices."
Have you had curry before?

If I had a lamb dish from an Indian place, I'd usually go for a rogan josh or a balti.

I'm just struggling to recall if any Indian restaurants I've ever been to, have a dish on the menu called "lamb curry". A Chinese restaurant might serve curried chicken or pork curry but I can't recall a Chinese restaurant having "lamb curry" on the menu either.

I am salivating for the tandoori chicken, the seekh kebab, the tandoori palace thali, the chicken tikka and the lamb biryani (looks bit short on sauce though).

I wonder if those curries are like a balti but with no yoghurt?

similar this morning also, for the two of us it was - 2 plain pancakes each, 3 slices bacon each (carvers streaky bacon on special $1.99/lb) with non-maple syrup, the low cost brand from the dollar store swilled down with a cuppa tea ;)

Skip lunch today because we are meeting our son & his GF for dinner (each pay our own bill) at an Indian restaurant of his choice, we either share dishes or it will be simple Chicken biryani with some nan bread.

Indian restaurant is in little India at Coxwell & Gerrad, Toronto

Curry with sliced banana.

I didn't have it, but it was a choice. ;)

I had it for lunch instead.

Eggs scrambled with the last of the chard, on toast, with a side of beans, mushrooms, bacon bits. Copious amounts of coffee.

Black coffee & 2 cigarettes, this has been normal for 20 years or more. We don't eat before 4 pm.

And if I want, I can have a breakfast beer; now that I'm in my 60's I have a remarkable lack of adult supervision!
