), though one local town cop was a bit irritated with me when I blew into town, didn't notice his speed trap, and was going too fast for him to get a speed reading.
In fact I lost him entirely (I didn't know he was following me), but he found me in a parking lot, and I got a stern lecture,
but no ticket. Last edited by Pulaski; Apr 5th 2016 at 3:24 am.

Saw this earlier today,.......
Black lives matter … but the lives of “men and white folks†do not?
That apparently is the message Black Lives Matter Toronto co-founder Yusra Khogali was trying to convey when she posted a controversial tweet on Feb. 9 that surfaced Tuesday morning.
In the tweet, Khogali asks Allah for strength “to not cuss/kill these men and white folks out here today.â€
Nice one lady, tell it how you really think it is...
Big fail in the win friends and influencing people objective...

Last night I looked up how much actual crime the black community comited compared to white folks. Was just wondering if the police "may" have justification to target black peeps. Even if it is the wrong thing to do.
I found this on Yahoo answers:
According to the most recent (2006) census date, "visible minorities accounted for 42.9% or 2,174,100 of the population in Toronto (Census Metropolitan Area) The largest visible minority groups in Toronto were South Asian (684,100), Chinese (486,300), Black (352,200), and Filipino (172,000)." In percentage terms, that 57.1% White; 6.9% Black and 9.6% Chinese
Yet, of the 26 persons "wanted for murder by the Toronto Police Service, at least 20 or 77 per cent were visible minorities, most of them Black. Of the 26, 20 were visible minorities, just two were White, two are unidentifiable, and two are "young offenders," so the police tell us nothing. Put another way, Whites constitute 57.1% of the population of Toronto and, yet, just two persons, a mere 7.6% of the total cast of villains wanted for murder are White.
Older stats yeh, but maybe the cops mentality is if you wanna buy car parts, go to a car spares store not a cake shop!! What I am saying is are they targeting young black people. Or!!! Are they just targeting the source of most of the crime? Just a thought :@)

I just heard this on the radio today. The tweet was then deleted, but some one must have thought that way to post it.

Society is to blame, not that that's any help.
A few problems with the quoted post are:
"wanted" isn't "convicted", maybe the police are only interested in looking for black murderers, not murderers in general. Perhaps the police are impartial but have their suspects wrong in these cases.
the numbers are low, perhaps there's only one murderer and he, or she, is black, indicating nothing about murders in general.
perhaps, at the time of the post, black people were responsible for a disproportionate number of murders in Toronto but the correlation is wrong, perhaps poor people or people from countries where violence is usual, are responsible for more murders and poor people or people from such countries are incidentally likely to be black. Do we know how many suspects are, for example, Americans?

The police won't release any racial data for crime so it's hard to get an up to the minute stat for black v white crime.

....it seems some days as if the world is just taking great big mental steps backwards. What a depressing piece. My son has a black friend!!! - that's not an Oinkish remark...we just don't have lots of them in Fredericton generally?? I take the kid out when we are doing Air Cadet collections, I always target him to go with, as the local populace will bend over backwards to be nice to him and stick a dollar in his tin...it's quite amusing in a sad sort of way.
I love the phrase 'male and pale' and it made me chuckle....I would have sent Karma, but the button has gone again!

The Guardian counter.....
The Counted: people killed by police in the United States – interactive | US news | The Guardian
So out of 277 killed by the police in the USA so far in 2016 57 are black. 258 are male. Only the black ones matter though.

Is there a modern day expression for what we used to call a black man's pinch?
