Seen lots of people on here recently that are home sick or feeling low
for one reason or another, prob partly due to the time of year, being Christmas and missing families and friends. just wondering what you all thought was the best thing/ things about living there.

Nothing ever happens. The biggest news in Canada since I arrived is that good quality baguettes are now widely available. There's a climate of absolute stability and calm.

Everything. Been here 15 years and never regretted it. Felt homesick for a short spell in the first few months, but that soon passed.

We were told that it takes around 3 years before it feels like home. It was 3 years almost to the day.

Blue Blue skies, clean air, space, and people that are still friendly and cheerful in the shops in the last week before crimbo day. My hubby and daughter are here with me and life is generally simpler than before. ( I do miss some of those christmas tunes though)

Apparently a local preschool had some grafitti sprayed on the outside walls. From what I could see it was just a tag , not offensive language or anything.
