According to Wikipedia, Dr Marten's only makes about 50 pairs of shoes a day in a UK factory these days, the rest of production having been shipped to Asia in 2003.

Guess the "Made in England" ones aren't so easy to come by any more.

When I was at school in the UK in the 1960's/70's Dr.Martin's shoes were specifically banned on pain on a good beating! I suppose such treatment would be called 'child abuse' these days! What has the world come to?

Isn't everything basically made in China then shipped to "the country" to attach the "made in" label?

An Aussie ex-pat trucker documented this trip through the Dakotas and on to Saskatoon. Missleah, you're going to love this! I think the weather gets up about halfway through.

IMO, unless you wish to pose down the pub, there is little to choose between the main manufacturers - windproof, waterproof, breathable outer shell and as many warmer layers underneath as the conditions call for will do you just fine.

Does posing down the pub even exist as a concept in Canada?
