Re: Beer
At least there's some Heineken otherwise I'd of thought I was in some terrible 1990s lower county pub listening to Malcom and Ray talk about their squash game.

Re: Beer
On the way out of Blighty at Heathrow they have a Fullers Pub. I was really impressed with their Frontier lager. if that comes to Canada we'll be sorted!

Re: Beer
Since we're on the subject, I must confess that this is actually not bad. I wouldn't normally touch anything from a can (except one of those with a widget) but it seems okay for this.
Anyone know what the red one's like?

Re: Beer
BEER MENU (btw Astrolabe and Dr Feelgood are highly recommended) with a friend of mine for dinner and drinks..I had one pint with dinner and then a lighter alcohol level beer and it went down so well but I was the driver and we'd been there about 2 + hours but I didn't want to chance it so I asked for a non-alcohol beer. The server who knew me asked me if I really wanted it and I confirmed. Having tasted it I regretted it and should have had a soft drink.
I've never had a non-alcohol beer I liked. It's akin to decaf coffee..like kissing your sister/aunt/cousin (well in the Deep South not much of a difference

Lots to choose from - although most pubs only stock Odouls / Prohibition / Becks / Heinekin

O'douls isn't bad at all - it's my low alcohol beer of choice. Heinekin is disgusting.. my son says that Grolch and Becks are tolerable. I've had Prohibition, it's ok..

Not sure what it would be like one after the other.
