BC Burning through wildfire budget.
It's only June and the BC Wildfire Branch has already spent 52.5 million of it's 63 million budget.
B.C. burning through wildfire budget - British Columbia - CBC News
In 2014 they spent 293 on fire fighting and while a bad year, nothing showed 2015 would be any better as the forecasters have said all winter, this summer would be drier and warmer, so why did they think 63 million would be sufficient, do they under fund on purpose?
And the real summer heat hasn't even arrived in full force yet.
Locally they are calling for 34-40 degrees next weekend, talk about hot, imagine what the interior will feel like...
(on a side note, work will be miserable, no a/c at those temps is cruel.)

Re: BC Burning through wildfire budget.
Yes we could use some, the peaks are almost bare, they are usually not this bare until middle of August, and water restrictions not this strict until July or August, and of course we usually get far more rain in June then we have this year.
News last night said we have had somewhere around 10mm, and normal is 50-55mm so we are way below the norm.
This weekend if the forecast is correct will be the warmest so far the warmest has been 28, which is too warm, but 40 is downright miserable and sick inducing for those of us (me) with heat sensitivity and prone to heat illnesses.
No way to stay cool at 40 without a/c, we have it home, but not work (wont fix it) so its a little worrying, I've ended up in the hospital very ill from those kinds of temps.

Re: BC Burning through wildfire budget.
The forecast isn't looking good, lots of heat and no rain in the forecast.
Friday into next week they are forecasting 30+ degrees for this area, I imagine the interior will be worse.
