Funny you said that, I've been contemplating changing it.

Kitchen is good - vinyl is getting fitted tomorrow. I cook a lot so I'm keen my kitchen is functional - got a wide 4-burner hob and that seems to work well. I've also got quite small cupboard doors and I've just realised the chances of me hitting my head is reduced, so happy.

It's to hot to sort much though so stuff is still all over the place. :)

I love my new Canadian friends.

Sounds great. Glad to hear you met a new friend who can give you guidance ready for your re-sit. I'll be wishing you all the best for that.

Wow, I'm melting here. Don't think I'll be at the pc too long. Got in my car earlier, and before the a/c kicked in the temperature registered 42C. It did settle to 28C after a few minutes though. Still, there is a nice breeze at the moment if you can find a shady spot. Think I'll be making up a jug of Pimms for this evening.

It pretty much looks the same as before, just with dirty washing up everywhere!

I'll put one up tomorrow after the vinyl is down. :)

Then we watched the fireworks at the end of the stampede evening .... best I've ever seen!! :D , then returned to the garden where one guy took out his guitar for a little singalong and one of the guests was a Newie who sang some traditional Newfie folksongs unaccompanied. He was brilliant! :D

I love my new Canadian friends.

Now this post encourages me that emigration works out ok! :)

Usually yeah... but the Stampede... a lot la-la-la-loopiness and so extra time.

OK people, before partaking of a drink, I think it only fair that we give thanks first........

Let us Pray:

Our beer,
Which art in barrels,
Hallowed be thy drink….
Thy will be drunk, I will be drunk
At home as it is in the local.…
Forgive us this day our daily spillage
As we forgive those who spillest against us….
Lead us not into the practice of poncey wine tasting,
Deliver us from Alco-pops,
For mine is the Bitter, the Ale and the Lager,
Forever and ever,
BARMEN.

Ouch. I guess I should feel lucky that this one is free. If I fail it again I have one last chance. Mind you the entire course cost me £6000 (edited to add that it was just a one year postgrad course). :scared: Do you have to do all the other parts again or is it just the one part that you failed?

Thanks guys for the drinks. Ice Maiden, I hope you managed to get the pc sorted.

Morning Willmore :)

How exciting is my life!

No, not yet - not sure what is happening with plastering yet - I think it's getting done by the electrician's plasterer but I'm not entirely sure.

I have a complete mental block when it comes to reno in my own home and it's always disorganised....

Anyway, he's here....was the smell of the coffee. :D
