Kitchen is good - vinyl is getting fitted tomorrow. I cook a lot so I'm keen my kitchen is functional - got a wide 4-burner hob and that seems to work well. I've also got quite small cupboard doors and I've just realised the chances of me hitting my head is reduced, so happy.
It's to hot to sort much though so stuff is still all over the place.

She's going to give me a bunch of notes, books and practice exam scenarios which will help tremendously. Plus I'll know what to expect when I re-sit it!

Wow, I'm melting here. Don't think I'll be at the pc too long. Got in my car earlier, and before the a/c kicked in the temperature registered 42C. It did settle to 28C after a few minutes though. Still, there is a nice breeze at the moment if you can find a shady spot. Think I'll be making up a jug of Pimms for this evening.

Then we watched the fireworks at the end of the stampede evening .... best I've ever seen!!
, then returned to the garden where one guy took out his guitar for a little singalong and one of the guests was a Newie who sang some traditional Newfie folksongs unaccompanied. He was brilliant!

OK people, before partaking of a drink, I think it only fair that we give thanks first........
Let us Pray:
Our beer,
Which art in barrels,
Hallowed be thy drink….
Thy will be drunk, I will be drunk
At home as it is in the local.…
Forgive us this day our daily spillage
As we forgive those who spillest against us….
Lead us not into the practice of poncey wine tasting,
Deliver us from Alco-pops,
For mine is the Bitter, the Ale and the Lager,
Forever and ever,
BARMEN.
