hey Bandit chin up - I know how yr feeling - it seems to be me mailing and skyping - - suppose those back home have their eal life to get on with whilst I am sorting kids and me out here - its odd not working - also I expected that after the initial flurry of interest the mail etc would die down . .
But hey - YOu and me r off out gigging to see Katy Perry on Sun night - Adele - see if you can get a ticket - we can all go !

Hi there!
Well, since writing this, the 2 friends in questions still haven't been in touch. I've known one since we were at school, and have been best of friends for some near 17 years. Distance has NEVER been an issue as we have never lived near each other, me in Surrey, Best Mate has lived in a different place almost every year, and some of those not even in the UK, we still kept in touch...? This is where I'm confused about her?
The other friends have been my best mates (they are a couple) for about 5 years, and I spent at least part of my week or w/end with them through out that.....!
I emailed the latter again today, just a lovely enquiring email about how THEY were and kind of skidded around how great I'm loving Vancouver...? Hey Ho, we'll see what happens....
The Phone is a bit of an issue, I only have a cell phone and to call UK is v expensive on that. I have skype and have repeatadly asked each of these friends to install it but they haven't. The 8 hour time diff makes it hard. I may sneak a call at work next week if I've not heard from them.....
I'm not unhappy by all means, just baffled really, and taking these 2 friends communication black out a bit more personally than any of my other friends.....
Oh well, thanks soooo much for all your kind words. It does help.
ADELE - give me a bell at the w/end, not sure exactly what my plans are but try me!!!

Bandit (Maeve) you can call their land line from yr Skype if you put credit on it - -we were having trouble with the sound etc so I did that - - -also I installed skype on friends pcs before I left - sneaky huh!!!

- can you please PM me your number?!!! Very jetlagged at the mo as been up for 26 hours but will all make more sense in the morning! Being in Club World definitely helped though, I've already been out to watch the hockey game over a couple of pints since I got here earlier this eve, doubt I'd have managed that after World Traveller cabin!
