Will you be in Fort Mac or Suffolk in the first two weeks of July?

Incidentally and apropos to Woodefords Wherry......I had a cunning plan for my business trip to Europe back in Dec that saw me arriving from Holland to Norwich Airport late Friday afternoon to be collected by my folks and transported to the Fur and Feathers (Woodefordes brewery tap) at Woodbastwick for several pints. Sadly the December snows in Europe put paid to that.:(

As things stand at the moment, I will be in Norfolk (not Suffolk) July 6th-19th. A mutual Wherry appreciation session would be very pleasant?

[QUOTE=Alan2005;9316943]Well, I've just spent two weeks in the UK and it was bloody great. I reckon anyone who is coming here from there for "a better life" or "for the kids" is seriously off their rockers.

I hope that all those seeking to emigrate here from England read your post-especially those who prefix their posts with negative comments about the U.K. As if somehow Canada really is the promised land. Well, for some I suppose it might well be.

As an aside - it was a bit of a road trip, coming in quite a bit more than 2000km. Not that I minded the driving - even though they were busy it was a pleasure to drive on roads that contained actual skilful drivers that know how to communicate with other road users properly - you know eye contact, indicating, letting you pull out etc. It's not all good though, there are lots of speed cameras every where now... sigh.

Oh come on, you can't tell us you didn't get stabbed at least once!

I'm off to the UK in a few weeks. I cannot wait. Off to France as well. I'll be getting a bigger dose of culture in 2 weeks, than for the remaining 50 weeks over here. Please god, let me find a way to stay there !!

I am going back next month, but only to see parents. I'm not especially looking forward to it, the journey and all, but I really want to see them.

Then having seen them, I will long to be back here. (Although hopefully the white stuff will be gone by then!:p)

ps: I have yellow crocus flowering in my garden! .... I should probably photograph them before the rabbits eat 'em! ;)

Does anyone go to any music festivals when they go back home? They've got some really good ones now that stretch right through the summer.

This always looks good, though never there at the right time:

For men of a certain age I think this might be more appropriate:

Do you believe that your life would be better in the UK? If so, when do you plan to leave?:p

Have you obtained children recently? If not, upon what have you based this? I don't know of many kids that enjoy sitting in pubs drinking beer while birds chirp in the trees, or kids that appreciate the benefit of driving on roads upon which "better" drivers are also driving;)
