Ashes online?

Anyone know a good website to watch live streaming of England V Australia this winter?

I don't know a single place to watch it and its annoying because the time difference makes this perfect evening viewing for me.

I usually go to my friend JUSTIN. TV is much better at his house.

Ahem.

I'll go the myp2p.eu route if i have to but with cricket I prefer to see the ball, thats why I was hoping there would be some kind of higher def service that you can pay for (shock horror) to get a decent feed sans annoying popups all over the place.

That's probably your best option as I haven't heard of a proper online service yet. We have Cricketplus with our cable service and they'll show Sky feed. But its $15 per month.

Hopefully we should have veetle HD links organised for it - depends on the start times

Just a friendly reminder that the Ashes start in Brisbane tomorrow at 6:30pm est or 3:30pm pst. Cricket Plus are showing it live although I'm sure you'll find on the internet somewhere.

Can you lot in the States use this service that Cricket Australia provide for non-UK or Oz/NZ residents? (live vid streaming of the Tests/ODIs courtesy of ch9 cov)

I used their excellent service to view the Ashes in 2002 and 2006 - between US$25-35 for a year's subscription. I've not renewed my subcr lately - hope the thing is still available, they've not answered my query emails yet....

Add them here pls, I'm sweating on CATV & Willow TV not being geo-blocked even if I'm prepared to shell out good Yen for the priv.

Re: Ashes online?

Hopefully with the time of night that its on Sky wont be chasing the links around and shutting them down - If they are that may be a problem as its unlikely the "streamers" will be up and about to replace their streams

Re: Ashes online?

Yep - post them here.

I used veetle last week to watch the eng v Aus A game and was very impressed. The feed hardly dropped once, I hope its as good as this tonight.

For Canadian Expats this series is perfect as it allows us to watch cricket from 7 pm onwards i.e prime time when Im not at work or asleep.

I just hope England produce a solid performance on day 1.

I subscribed on Monday to Cricket Plus, who by the way have put the price up to $16 a month in anticipation of those of us who will cancel again after the series (probably).

Watched part of a re-run of an Eng Vs Aus one dayer from 2008 last night. Been here for 3 years and it was the first time I can remember feeling a little homesick for an English summer (although the fact that it was -30'c outside could have made it seem more attractive).

I noticed they'd put the price up. :frown: I just hope we get the Sky commentary instead of the Aus stuff. The Australian accent is only slightly less grating than the north American one.

Other than the great Richie Benuad then yes even without the accent they are terrible, but the accent really does make it 10 times worse. I too am hoping for Sky Commentary and are sneaking out early from work to catch the first ball....

Hopefully it's better than that comical ball from Harmison a few years ago...

Thx, I'd gone and signed up for Willow which is working brilliantly despite my being not in US/Can/Mex - oh wait, Japan are in the Copa America, right?

The VIP one is back up now and the quality is excellent.

If we can just make it through the next 20 minutes without losing a wicket
I think we'll be OK.

Should have not bothered with the disgraceful 'batting' display England put on. I'd say Australia declares at 550.
