Re: Artificial Xmas trees?
We always had real trees and yes they are gorgeous but when you have redecorated it 4 times in one year because our cats loved being "in" it, the novelty of the lovely smell etc. wore off.
We bought an artificial one and they never bothered with it. We did consider it this year with being here but we had to stop the romanticised vision of a real tree and I'm afraid, just be practical. |

Re: Artificial Xmas trees?
Go out in woods. Cut top off larger tree or complete small tree*. Take home, decorate. Alternatively, go to bloke just around the corner who does same and buy one for $20. Either way, real tree bought and no more than $20 spent. Sorted!
*For Novo, there are a gabillion smallish evergreens in Newfoundland. If every house cut one every Christmas, there would still be a gabillion of them. |

What is the difference between a sitting-room and a family room? And why do you need both?
sitting room = room with TV, comfy chairs/sofa etc that the adults use to hide from the kids. Family room = room with TV, computer, kids toys, Wii, assorted other kids crap where we can hopefully corral the kids so us adults can sit in the sitting room in peace and quiet. Why do we need both? Well we have 4 kids under 12... nuff said! |

Re: Artificial Xmas trees?
There's not much time left to get a tree, artificial or real.
