was surprised to find I have to fill in Air Canada's API (Advanced Passenger Information) for the TSA. I'm flying from Edmonton to Heathrow via Calgary.

It appears its now a requirement, there's a list of countries including Japan, where I'm flying in December, so I'll probably have to do it again.

So its not enough that they listen to our telephone conversations, they now want to know whenever we leave Canada!

The UK now request API on all passengers flying to the UK.

According to wiki this has been the case since April 2012.
