Dubbed as the world’s most expensive cheese, Foodie’s Cheese managed to whip up an intriguing cheese variety especially made for the holiday season. It is called Stilton Cheese with real gold flakes. The gold is completely edible, so patrons who are curious need not worry about grubbing the gold down. The cheese is priced at $2064 per pound.

That is stupidly expensive cheese for the tiny amount of gold it will contain.

Edible gold has been around for donkeys years - I used to use it to decorate my Indian desserts back in the 80's. It's used in baking as well.

Most of my Canadian cheese complaints are from the fact that it's all from Pasturized milk, so whatever you do to it it just doesn't develop a depth of flavour. My grandmother was from Melton Mobray, and she won awards for her Stilton making....and regretably I didn't know her much...she never shared the secret of her success and I am just like the rest of you...looking for a decent cheese at a reasonable price

Personally, I've never paid more than $30 for a handbag in my life and never will, it just isn't that important to me. A bag is a bag.
