Re: Andy Murray - Twat or not?

I watched Andy Murray a couple of times on "Soccer AM" before we left the UK (Man, that's one program I do miss) he was really, really funny. He joked about the English/Scottish rivalry a lot & I fear that some of the misquotes & things taken out of context may have been from one of those appearances.

He has a very dry & droll sense of humour &, unfortunately, the British Press just don't get it (being devoid of any sense of humour themselves.)

He has already won more tournaments than Tim (Nice but Dim) & I hope he does win Wimbledon one day.

I, therefore, vote against the motion that Andy is a twat! :-) Whatever you lot think though he is laughing all the way to the bank anyway!!

Glad to see someone come up with a semi decent reply that actually puts forward a valid and reasonable point rather than just say that he is alright as he is Scotish!

Unfortunately the yes clearly exceed the no and as such the motion is carried that he is a tw@t!

Modorators now that it is decided can we close this thread now?

Ha, a bit like Barry McGuigan, who when winning a boxing match was 'the British fighter', losing reverted back to 'oirish';)

In fairness whilst I supported McGuigan I always found it a bit funny that he McGuigan took out British citizenship so that he could compete for British domestic titles. Ultimately a very unusual thing for a chap born in the republic to do. But in fairness at a time of great divide in NI he did not show support for either side by being a non-sectarian sporting ambassador for NI; brave thing to do considering the times he was in.

Is he a twat or not?

twat

Restricting the semi finals to just 4 each year's starting to get on my nerves. The organizers should make it more inclusive rather than letting players drop by the wayside over the prior week. It's a disgrace. :frown:

It's about time the BBC had a panel to judge the performance of each participant, followed by a telephone vote to decide who to eliminate. An altogether much fairer way to choose the best tennis player.

I don't know who he is, so I'm going to say Twat.
Just to be on the safe side.

Sorry, I have to say Scotch is what we drink , Scottish is what we are:thumbsup:
