The Android box also has USB ports so you can use it for downloading to your thumb drive and playing to your tv that way

And an SD card slot for the same reason

Was all mixed in, I bought about $600 of stuff off him, you will have to work out a price with him.

The box above is good, it's a XBMC box + the one I got is also Internet, Facebook, Google, You Tube ect not a one trick pony.

Comments on the reviews are great, just what I've been saying too

Diferance being if I have any issues with my Android then I can go to the store and I'm sure Malik will just re programme or replace the box within minutes.

This is what pisses me off about Rogers. They advertise that they have Scotland v England live and are actually showing an old Man U game WTF

So I'm watching it on ITV :@)

It is on Sportsnet World. When did they actually advertise that it was on?

This website indicates it is on Sportsnet World and Sportsnet World Now..not on the standard Sportsnet channels.

I'm watching it here:

Excellent goal by Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Wow..that is a really old school digital box guide you have.

The sportsnet webpage has the game ending @ 16h30 EST..hmm I think they are off a bit there.

Either way I have found a good stream. The France/Sweden game is on TSN.

Well wouldn't you know it.

ITV was back to its previous top quality so I watched it without falling back on filmon or something else.

Wife & I spent almost one-hour in the store this morning to see, touch & feel for myself. Mentioned magnumpi referral;)

100 questions is me, always the sceptic, I need to be sold

Results

- The small store was equipped with all kinds of electronics, well laid out. The brothers that operate the store described & explained each of the various XMBC boxes they sold. A demonstration, going through all the menu's & settings with the 'hand remote' - the wife did not like the micro mini (cant see the keys) wireless keyboard.

- Uploading of some channels was slow & maybe that was due to them having Rogers internet?

- Picture quality varied from channel-to-channel, some in SD others in HD. The Brit programs BBC & ITV picture quality was better than the American stations.

- Ease of use was a 7 out of 10, but as Malik said - once you have your line up of channels its simply 'put them into favourites'

- The initial reaction was that the device is for the 'are you smarter than a 5th grader'. I think as old as I am, it would not take too long 'to get up to speed on ease of use'

- The box does not replace your cable service, it does not get local channels, for which you'd need 'Free to air' (FTA) 'over the air' signal digital box with a stubby or outside antenna.... all at a cost

- Overall rating for the Android Box is 9 out of10

I'm a buyer & would keep my cable service

Free to air can be done with a flat $10 antanna. I know, I got free to air CBC in the kitchen on my ikle kitchen TV. Just for when we are cooking to see local news and Corrie.

Did u buy one then ?

Last night we watched I'm a celebrity and the leafs game, well she did I watched a FA cup game on Rogers

with the Android box we'd need FTA (or whatever its called) for local stations CBC, CTV, TVO, CITY TV. Likely means another type of box + antenna, cos our second smaller TV is not one of those fancy digital TV's

no, going back next week with my son-in-law, then, after a second look, more questions - it might be two boxes. When I buy one, the cable will stay connected for at least 3 mths before considering pulling the plug.

The missus says she likes fiddle free technology, as well as her cable TV & the ability for extra programs not available on cable.

No pleasing some folks eh!

Yeh it is a bit tricky at first, but we know where to go now on it and just go straight to programmes we like.

Yes I have kept Rogers, for now, I've no idea why I have done , ok last night I watch FA cup but most of Rogers is repeated repeats of a repeat, perfect if u have memory issues I suppose !!
