You just cannot beat those clear blue Alberta skies can you.

I don't think there is anything like them anywhere else. They are one of the reasons I could never leave Calgary.

Enjoy your weekend.

Cheers

I saw the snow on the mountains for the first time this morning when I was driving up the Shaganappi from the Bow River.

I was driving alone, and anyone seeing me laughing and whooping with joy would have thought me quite mad!! :scared:

btw I'm sitting here in the sun under a cloudless blue sky as I write this! What a wonderful place to live!

I have just been laying in the hammock on the deck having a beer looking at the beautiful blue sky thinking ....................the only other time I can recall in my short life that I have seen sky's like this, is when I have been skiing in Europe .........usually because of all the snow the sky has been sooo blue.........here we have it already...... just imagine when the snow's arrive.

I'll stop going on now ......just got that Friday feeling and feeling very chilled

For anyone wondering what we are going on about perhaps this will give you some idea.

I took this one last September scroll to the right to get the full effect.

Stunning picture I looked at it and my heart skipped a beat. Makes you determined to work things out so you can get over there!

Do you mind if I use it as my desktop background?

Actually it is a series of four or five pictutes (can't remember now) "stitched" together to make the panorama. It prints out at about 10"x36" with a 1" white space around it, I have it hanging in my office over my desk.

I took it from 12 Mile Coulee Road in the northwest.

I would almost be the view from Butch's house if it wasn't for the houses in between.

Cheers

With stitching like that you can be my surgeon any day; seamless !!

Fantastic shots - it's really brought home to us here why we want to make Calgary our home - hopefully won't be too long now

Steve, why is that not available to Joe (and Ro) Public in local shops?

You are not the first person to ask that.

Simple answer I don't know, I guess I'm not sure it is good enough.

I keep getting told by those close to me that I am far too critical of my own work.

All that being said I would not be averse to selling a copy to Joe (and Ro) Public if they asked.

That makes me feel so peaceful, happy and sad all at once....

...peaceful because it is so evocative and brings back great memories of being soooo calm, happy because I have been lucky enough to see those mountains and blue skies many times now and sad because I have to continue to wait until I get them again - although hopefully not too long.

makes my tummy do little flippies too

What a great pic - thank-you for sharing
