You should have just cut out the middle man and given $50 to your sister.

But if I donate to the society it goes to research. If I give it to my sister herself it'll probably go towards a mega pack of golf balls
She loves golf balls. Why totally escapes me.

Does she actually play golf?

my donation will be winging its way ( or vibrating) to our Terry Fox event that we hold at school every year.
I'd post a picture of me shoving the cash in the box (fnar fnar!) but it would totally blow ( giggle) my anonymous cover!

Haha, you can always have a picture of you putting the cash in the box then it's just your hand or something.

I think as long as you are paying it forward then it's fine. I would feel bad taking advantage of Jings' generosity and doing nothing, so a donation felt appropriate. Glad to see that Gozit did his donation as well!

A little bit of happy all around. What a great Monday!

The website says "allow 3-5 weeks for delivery" but stuff has been arriving way before that, so hopefully it won't be too long.

Re: paying it forward, no-one need feel any compunction on my account to make a donation to charity... if you must, I'd rather you gave it to those poor under-dressed girls at Hooters. Winter's coming, you know, and they'll catch their death dressed like that.

Still got 10,500 miles left.

Just in case there was any question in my post, I wasn't suggesting anyone feel obligated to do so, was just saying that I felt bad doing nothing, so this feels like win-win. But that's just me!

Are you including the 7000 miles I gave back when I declined the spice rack?

This is Jings'll Fix It... I decide if you've declined the spice rack or not.

If you see a Tom Selleck lookalike kerbcrawiling around St Johns with a small parcel in his hand, you'll know I've engaged magnumpi to track you down and make sure the spice rack takes pride of place in your kitchen.

Or I might just give it to you in the pub. Perhaps I could use the remaining balance to pay for the beers, too.

"Two pints of your finest Wherry, my dear."
"Six pounds and forty pence, please."
"Here's my card."
"Ah, Aeroplan... that'll do nicely."
