Yes you POSSIBLY cant get clothes as cheap over there BUT if we compare 'designer' labels WAY cheaper in the UK. (Here I'm talking Ted Baker, Paul Smith, YSL, D&G etc).

I disagree. I find the designer labels cheaper here than in the UK. I'm back there again in May so I'll have another look. I guess here on the west coast we don't buy for function, as you put it.... normally our weather is less severe than the rest of Canada, so the heavy winter clothing is not normally needed.

I wont argue with you other than to say Ted and Paul are definitely more in Calgary than Manc.

I would say if she's 15 it's more likely to be Top Shop, New Look, Primark dare I say it?
