The 2012 Celebrity Croakers Thread.

Inspired by the Iron Lady (and by plagiarism form threads on the much lamented now defunct Grauniad Talk Forum), I bring you boys and girls unlimited chortles as a New Years gift.

Process: post the five celebs you think to be most likely to kick the bucket this calendar year. I'll keep track in a worksheet.

Rule 1: If no one else has heard of your horse, it's not a celeb.

Rule 2: If one of your celebs croaks you score 100 points minus their age at last (last) birthday. Example: A 78 yr old croaks, score 22 points.

Rule 3: You may then post a replacement croaker-to-be.

Rule 4: You may nominate one of your 5 runners as a Joker. Scores double points. You can't change your Joker until rule 3 applies.

I think that covers it.

The competition is hereby declared open. Good luck.

That's entirely up to you. If you just want to make an amusing point then make a wish list, something like Thatcher, Kissinger, Harper, Cameron and Justin Bieber (joker).

If you want to win choose accordingly.

Ah yes. I'd forgotten that there are some Scottish people on here.

Way back when I was a student, I worked as a barmaid (as many do) and in the pub I worked in, we played a game similar.

It was called "pick a stiff". You paid a quid a week and picked a celeb who you thought would die. if your celeb died, you won the pot that had been accumulated. and then you got to pick another and the whole thing reset.

I actually won on that one - I had picked Freddie Mercury

Oh dear. You're quite wrong. Are you emigrating to Toronto one day?

If so, you're in for a shock. :)

At least two excellent choices in there. I'll await confirmation of WTF Tony Iommi might be.
