Have a go then, if you think you're hard enough?

I'm sure it did. But I think you should read my post again. I was referring to the 2010 Olympics. But my apologies you'd be excused for missing it because you can drive through every street downtown and there's nothing.

I think you should re-read your own post, where you'll find that you commented on Vancouverites' inability to organize stuff. The Expo gives the lie to your point of view.

I think the problem is that Brits like you (assuming you are one) have the lack of sense of humour and personality that undermines this whole place. It's no wonder people like me are so pissed off with tossers like you. Twat!
That's rather uncalled-for.

No-one forces you to be here. Don't let the door hit your butt on your way out.

The 2010 Winter Olympics isn't going to change my daily life for the better or worse, as I don't live in Vancouver. The closest I plan on getting to the Olympics is changing the channel to one that isn't covering it.

They'd somehow find a way of not pressing it.

If I was part of VANOC I'd be embarrassed by how much commercialisation there is of the Olympics. They used be for AMATEUR athletes to compete in, though nowadays very few amateurs can afford to compete without massive sponsorship. There are rules designed to deliberately keep out those like Eddie 'the Eagle' Edwards who have a bigger crowd following sometimes than the top athletes, and we take professional Hockey players out of their regular season games instead of giving amateur Hockey players a chance to show their skills.

Well the "let's wait and see" attitude is the f-ing problem here. I think Vancouverites and many Brits who move here are just a bunch of followers. No wonder creative business thinkers like myself cannot wait to move away. And before anyone points it out, at tens of thousands to move it's no minor consideration.

I believe it's called apathy. The 2015 Pan-American Games are being held in Toronto that year. I won't give a damn about them either.

If you've got a PayPal account, I'll gladly donate towards your leaving expenses if you promise to STFU.

Your problem seems to be that you have a chip on your shoulder about Canada, and don't like it that most of us like it here. Come and wring my neck, or try to. It's easy to threathen violence when you're 3 time zones away, but I've never met anyone who's had the balls to try it.

An anonymous internet forum gets you pissed off? I think you've got bigger troubles than being bored at the Olympics.

They should knock it down and start again and not build an overpriced roof.

Skytrain is OK, but is expensive and low capacity. I've no idea why they continue to be locked into this and don't do an more extensive light rail/tram system. I guess someone at Bombardier is greasing some palms.

I disagree that BC Place is ugly. It's 25 years old, so it's unsurprising it needs a bit of a refurb. A new roof, even an expensive one, is probably a hell of a lot less money than the cost of demolition and rebuilding from scratch.

Skytrain consistently gets in the top few medium-capacity LRT systems in surveys around the world. Only one series of rolling stock was made by Bombardier.

I note you haven't commented on Canada Place, now a reasonably successful international conference venue and still architecturally striking 25 years after construction.

I was going to post something similar. Maybe it's because we have the lack of sense of humour and personality that undermines this whole place.

Edit: Have read his posts on this thread a few times now. The OP has gone insane, it's the only explanation - I fear for his family.

I think somebody has got their period ;)

For a "creative thinker" you're not very creative in your arguments, comments, or general point of views are you. Very disappointing.

I also still enjoy the fact that in one sentence you state that you're not very organised yet in another you do a 180 and try to have us believe that you're mentally and physically superior. Brilliant!!

Finally; ring a neck? I'll bet you couldn't even ring a bell. By the tone of your posts i'd say you'd be better off choking your chicken and enjoying those endorphins :p

Oh, and $10 says this thread will be closed by the time i wake up in the morning

Hello. My name is Oakvillian and I have a lack of sense of humour and personality. I am undermining this whole place.

I do rather object to being called a tosser and a twat by anonymous internet forum users, though. That was a bit rude. If I had a personality it would probably be offended.
