I did this job for 10 years. Now back in the real world. I didn't realise how stressful it was until I gave it up. No joke- its physically stressful and mentally stressful. Then you have all your colleagues to deal with. Then there's the pressure to pass all your students and to get loadsa research money

Far less stress now.
