I hope we get it on PBS, it's a wonder Netflix hasn't got it.

I too am a fan of Mary, and Paul and fear that Jamie O would be ghastly!

I need to get out more, but am not exactly spoiled for choice here...I was asked if I wanted to join 'some girls' for radio bingo recently hell, and you wonder why I prefer GBBO...

the person who was announced as the winner
see it's even safe, this time, to look at the spoiler.

The finale was ... anticlimactic. I don't think there was much doubt about who would win, s/he was my pick going into it... when it came down to it, I thought it was a pretty obvious choice overall.

I still enjoyed the series - batter week in particular was really cool.

Sad the show is over. I'll probably still tune into the C4 version just to see, but I'm not optimistic.

I found this whole series a disappointment. The winner (and I was firmly in the anyone but... camp) was obviously favoured by at least one of the judges, from the start. Plus the time pressure thing started to bug me. If everyone has to waft their bakes in order to cool them enough to ice, why not just allow enough time for things to be done properly - who is better at baking, not who is better at rushing? Underbaking should be the result of bad judgement, not someone restricting the time to add 'excitement'. Or maybe it's just that no-one could live up to Nadiya?

.
It was reasonably clear who was going to win, and I did feel more of a hooray moment when Nadiya won in the last series.

My Yorkshires don't look anything like their's...I evidently do them wrong...mine are big puffy balls of happiness....the 'proper'one looked somewhat non eventful I thought, and I definitely wouldnt want it full of chilli or mince or whatever they were piling in it.

Three of us were watching the Yorkshires episode and we all gagged when they said 'you can fill them with anything'. Nothing should be put in a Yorkie unless it's a bit of gravy when you're ready to eat it.

I'm happy the winner won. Seemed to me to be the most consistent over the series.

So just to wake this up and upset a few people..... Pru Leith taking over Mary's position and the lovely Mel and Sue to be replaced by Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig. I really like both of them but whether they are GBBO material I have no clue. Never thought of Pru Leith as a baker but at least she's not Jamie Oliver.
