Default Malta! Some Input Please...

Hi

I wonder if anyone out there has any current or past experience of living and working in Malta? I may have an opportunity to go work out there permanently (IT) over the next few weeks and wondered what the thoughts were. I've been luckily enough to travel and live abroad previously but never within such a sunne European setting.

If anyone has any input or general comment on such things as accommodation/lifestyle/things I should look out for please drop a line!

Thanks in advance

Ive been there on holiday and I thought it was a wonderful place .... locals were very friendly and helpful. Stayed in Melhia Bay at the Gozo end.

Obviously holidaying and working are different things though

Hi,
I'm from Macedonia and I was on holiday in Malta with my family. We spent only two weeks there but it seems like a good place for living. The weather (we all mention this), the people, quality health services, education... So, because the living costs in Macedonia are much higher than last few years and average salary is only 250EUR (we have our own business so we are lucky with higher salaries) and there are some other problems here, we are going to have an inspection trip in Malta to see possibilities to move there. We are not EU citizens but we are ready to investigate all possibilities for moving (including buying a property etc.). I mean if I were EU citizen I would not think over too much. There is always possibility to come back easier. If you not try you will never know...

HI there,

I hope that you enjoy your time in Malta, it is a wonderful place. The locals there are all friendly people and speak English. I loved goign there so much, my bf lived there for 15 years and he tells me it was a bit too small sometimes, but he enjoyed the diving, the food, the sun and exploring Gozo. It's not too far from the UK and you will be able to travel home often.

I have a question for you Jenny, please can you tell me a little bit about how a person who was married in Malta (now living abroad), to a Maltease person get a divorce? I know that there are different rule concerning divorce in Malta.
