Wow, get really is on everything!
I noticed on my credit card statement that I had lots of get deductions. When i asked the bank, I got told that when I use my card overseas the bank charges me 1.2% foreign exchange fee on top of the purchase price and their set exchange rate, and so now I get charged the gst of 6% on top of the 1.2% fee.
What this means now is if I order something from overseas of 1000 RM, I will pay about 13 RM to the bank and gst, and 60 RM at the post office to GST....

It's the same if using a UK credit card overseas, they are not allowed to use an exchange rate with the charges built in any more - the charges have to be shown separately and must carry VAT.

Ok, good to know. Never had a UK credit card before, and previously have almost always loved as an adult in monarchies / dictatorships with no vat / gst
