AusMex is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Thanks

I am new to this forum, I found it by accident. We are moving from Mexico to Melaka in January, and have been doing a lot of research.
I have 3 other Malaysian site I visit, and unless you are an expat in Penang, you will not get an answer. The first time I posted a post on here, I get an answer.
Thanks People, I know I will get correct answers when I post a question, or search this site.
blackbean, yes it is a big move, but I have done it before. Have been to Melaka and really liked it, and it is close to Major airports to fly out of.

Yes there are some strange sites about. I only visit one other but that's very particular to MM2Hers and wouldn't be of interest to most folks on here I guess. On britishexpats, we are more broadbased as you have probably noticed.

I've only scratched the surface with Melaka. One of these fine days, I'll do a proper explore. I saw the touristy, tacky bit and there's obviously a lot more to it.

I have two friends who have just moved to Melaka (a couple of months ago). They moved from UK and on MM2H and loving it there, though they are still dithering a bit about Penang. The attraction for them was that you can get more for your money property-wise.

I've got another couple of friends who will be moving there soon. They are still half working (or semi retired) and I think the big attraction for them was the proximity to KLIA. I can understand that.
