Hi Everyone
Well after a lot of painful discussions with my wife, we have come to the agreement that I should convert to Islam, this has come down to money more than anything. So I would like to know has anyone converted ? what is the process ? Would we need to marry again as we are already married but my wife says we would need to have a Muslim marriage.
Also has anyone applied for a spouse visa ? and if so when should i apply ?
Thanks Simon.

There's a whole thread on the spouse visa here Long Term Social Visit Pass (LTSVP or LTVP) it should answer your questions. If you've not already done so go to the Malaysian embassy in the country in which you got married and get certified Malaysian copies of the marriage certificate, as I recall you're supposed to register a foreign marriage within 2 years I think. Having the documentation will make the whole LTSVP process much easier.
