Default Prepaid mobile broadband

Hi there

I was just wondering if someone on this forum can help!

When we are in Singapore we pick up a prepaid mobile broadband sim card to put in our wi-fi dongle. I was just wondering if there was something similar in Malaysia and if so is there one that is better for Langkawi? We have an unlocked wi-fi modem thingy and want to avoid paying stinging internet charges at our hotel if possible! We have a business so unfortunately still have to check the old email whilst away.

Thanks!

KK

I think Celcom is the largest mobile broadband supplier in Malaysia. Check their coverage map:

You can also look at Maxis.

Lowyat.net forums are a good resource for Malaysia related Telco & IT questions if you want to gauge any local user feedback on coverage.

Celcom is the best and widest coverage. I have tried Maxis and it was dreadful and Digi no better.
