I celebrated by taking the super long weekend off, and heading (driving) up to Port Dickson (from Singapore). Bad mistake, because apparently, ½ the population of Singapore had the same flipping idea, and the Second Link was bumper to bumper for 3 agonizing hours!!!

Oh, goodness gracious me. I'm such an airhead. That was the labour day weekend I was referring to! Wesak/Vesak day isn't till June, is it?

Did you make Port Dickson and if so what did you think of it?

Re: Happy Wesak Day
I did! Spent a glorious weekend at the Avillion resort and loved every minute of it. The waters could have been cleaner (they were murky but that's to be expected, coming from the Straits of Malacca) so we didn't do any swimming at the sea, but the resort grounds were busy enough for us to find something to do, throughout the weekend there! If only the traffic jams at the link/causeway weren't that awful every time there's a long weekend or holiday..... sigh

By the way, it was Wesak Day (or Vesak Day) on Sunday last at least it was in Penang.
