I haven't been on an A380, but I guess this means long boarding and disembarking time?

It's pretty rapid actually as there are always at least two airbridges, one for upper deck and one for the lower deck. I have seen three though.

As IVV says though, depending on where you land, it bungs up Immigration a bit. (Speaking from experience in Sydney.)

I've just bought return flights Penang to Perth via Singapore for RM 1755. That's about 307 quid in old money. Not bad eh? And on a pukka international airline.

Singapore airlines currently doing deals. Check out their website. Bookings need to be made by end May and travel by mid December (I think ...pls check).

Air Asia have suspended (cancelled) flights from KL to Goa from June. Refunds available to those with flights booked. Though that's not much help as I don't think there are other carriers doing this route. Have friends who use this route and they are not happy bunnies.

My friends tell me the flights they travel on are usually well booked up. They are pretty stuffed with their booked (now cancelled) flights. You try finding an easy way with good flight connections to get from Penang to Goa. If going to Goa, best not to start in Penang :nod:

What may be of more interest in the article above is that, according to the Mauritian minister of tourism, Air Asia X will be starting flights to Mauritius from KL from October this year, 4 flights a week. Oh, oh, oh :eek::thumbsup:

I love Mauritius. We used to visit lots when we lived in the Middle East!

Though there is a LOT of water you fly over from KL to there....

So passengers should keep a look-out for any remnants of MH370 floating.... 'coz it looks like they may shut down the search fairly soon...:thumbdown:

I've been trying to find some good flights to Mautitius from Singapore, but they only appear to go through South Africa, Dubai or Abu Dhabi unless you want to fly all the way back to Europe and catch a flight from there.
So if thois Air Asia X flight starts then that might do the trick.

But Original Sunshine what do you particularly like about Mauritius??
Is it the food the beaches the people?
Anything else to do except the beach or pool which we don't go that much for. Any historical stuff???
Can you recommend accommodation or a hotel?

As an alternative to Mauritius I was thinking about Bora Bora, (South Pacific - Michener) etc.
But again flights are through Japan, Auckland Los Angeles or Sydney which are for a me a pain.

Diego Garcia...where some conspirator theorists believe MH370 landed is almost on the direct route KL-Mauritius.
Maybe they're right and he crashed short of the runway and why some parts were also found on Reunion...a little further on than Mauritius....could be..:unsure:
