Hi everyone
We're planning to come to Malaysia to buy a house in October or November (in Negeri Sembilan), with a view to live here next year.
We've been researching for a while, so we're aware of the main points (minimum for foreigners, capital gains tax etc), but I'd like to know how long we need to plan there. My husband can only stay 2 weeks (has to go back to work), but I can stay a bit longer.
We are planning to take a mortgage so it would add up to the time we need.
Any advice welcome of course !
Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum
I'm not quite sure what your question is. What visa will you be getting? I suppose that is a good start point.

Thanks
The visa will be a work permit (setting up a business), so nothing to do with the house, I just mentioned we're planning to live there at some point, sorry if it was confusing.
I'm already in contact with the bank regarding the mortgage, so they're giving us some advice regarding this part, but I need to book some plane tickets, and I'm wondering how long we need to plan to find a house, begin the initial paperwork etc.
Regarding the mortage, I have an additional question, the margin of financing we can get at the moment with hsbc is 60 % (maybe up to 70 %, but not sure whether they'll be able to do it).
Does any other bank offer a better margin to non residents ?
Thanks !

Thanks malaysiapanama. Not a bad idea from new poster above. You should find a lot of info of houses for sale online. That should at least give you a head start.
I have no idea about loans I'm afraid.
