Pritt do it and so do Uhu. They make a white one.
I've seen it at the supermarkets where all the school books and pens etc. are.

I once put something up with that "no nails" stuff. After an hour it came off the wall bringing about 30 layers of old paint and some plaster with it.

I always end up doing a tour of sainsburys /tescos before coming back, and buy lots of things like their own brand aspirin /vitamin C tablets /indigestion (don't ask!!) tablets etc as they cost so much here.
Also children's clothes are SO much cheaper inthe UK
I have not been able to find a good carpet cleaner product or deodoriser here and have also brought that for rugs here as they are so difficult to carry outside (although 80 year old Italian women seem to manage it).
Just some thoughts - hope they help

yeah, it's seriously that kind of thing (I'm laughing as I can't believe I'm writing this!) but you can buy 1001 carpet freshener in the Uk and I can't find it here and we have some big rugs that get alot of wear with children and dogs, so I always bring this back, seriously sad!!

I even got a hoover sent over from the UK as I wanted an upright one and one with rotating brushes and bristles for my big rug. The crappy Italian ones just skimmed over the surface and never picked up properly.
Totally forgot about the bloody hoover belt though so had to get a couple of them sent from the UK as well.

I know there is a thread on this, but we have a whiffy dog and I sprinkle bicarbonate of soda on my carpet and rugs, leave overnight and hoover. Shake n Vac made me sneeze!!

Get your eyes done too.
And if you have room to spare - think about mops for your floors. It sounds a bit daft I know. My sisters have some great mops. One squirts cleaner fluid on the floor and another is one of those squeezy squidgy things. Where I am I have only ever seen the old fashioned string mop heads or the Vileda ones ..... and plenty of old ladies around here still use a plastic kind of brush and a big old dishcloth like thing and drag that around the floors.
