Default Walking in Abruzzo

Hi, can anyone tell me if they have found details on walks in Abruzzo? I would like to buy a self guided handbook, some maps or find a local guide, but they would have to speak English i'm afraid until my Italian gets better. I will be flying into Pescara, so would have to stay somewhere near there.

I logged on to the site of Abruzzo Walks, thank you that looks really great, their site looks really good. It's soo helpful, not only for the walking but also the public transport information. I'll let you know how I get on. Do you live in Italy?

Hi Wildwalker, I am going snow trekkig on snow shoes January 23 or 24 with a mountain guide. You are very welcome to join! It costs 160 euro or half day. If anyone else is interested - the more the merrier!

Not entirely sure but I suppose February-early March. But shortly after that the hiking season will start, so you wouldn't need snow shoes.
