Default Redentore Festival in Venice

Has anyone ever been to the Redentore Festival in Venice? and as part of this festival do you know if there is actually a temporary bridge built over the Guidecca canal?

I've just found out about Redentore today and have marked it in the calendar to make sure we don't forget to go. (Now just got to find out whether any trains leave Venice after midnight )

I went - a long long time ago though.

Don't remember any temporary bridge but I do remember fireworks.
