I use Nord as well - it used to work without problems up until a year or so ago. I will take a look at a Firestick and see if it’s worth getting one.

Just go for the FireStick Lite. We have a 4K Max and the Lite and I can't see any difference apart from the remote being more friendly on the 4K. Really handy for travel too as you can actually watch something decent in hotels.

I would have a look at the 4k Max reviews ("1" ratings). Content for 4k is lacking, but it should be faster as the cpu and memory are better. It seems odd to me that the BBC make it so hard to watch even if you have a licence.... It can't be beyond them to give you a key to watch, even it you have to pay to get a specific key for watching abroad/travelling. But no doubt there are complicated contractual reasons stopping them.

I think it's not Nord doing the blocking, but tht BBC et al are blocking Nord.

Yes, I think they're all blocking smart dns connections. Nord is working fine from the phone and Firestick.
