Post In Tuscany
I am travelling to Tuscany, Italy in the coming weeks and would like to enquire how the postal system works in terms of online orders? If I wanted items delivered from London.

Quite often slowly, especially if from abroad, but even Amazon.it can be slow. I assume you have read the post on house numbers, which touches on the subject?

Was wondering if it would be a good option to pop back to London every once in a while for items, make a short break out of it for a few days.
Just planning ahead.

Depends if you are near to an airport and can get to and from it and how much you want to carry. I would see if the items you are thinking of are available there. Many an item we found on Amazon.co.uk were on Amazon.it. , mostly dearer, but now and then cheaper.

I've used 'Mailboxes etc' in the past with no problems.. There might be one in a town near wherever you end up....

With amazon.it you can select a punto di ritiro - saves waiting in for deliveries.

Have you tried it? I havent seen the option come up when I have bought something but there is supposed to be a pick up point in my nearest town.

Yes, I use it a lot. I am in Venice and for most smaller purchases there’s the offer of delivery to a punto di ritiro and there are several to choose from in the city, Amazon send an email when the delivery is ready for collection. Works well for me.
