Talking Payday in Italy

Hello everyone!

I'm just wondering what day is payday in Italy? Is it at a set date for the whole country, or not so strict? I lived in Germany before and people got their salaries on the 26th, 28th, first of every month, etc... Is it like that in Italy too?

Thanks on beforehand!

10th!? That's so strange. When is rent due? Don't you have to pay rent in the beginning of the month?

Are you employed by an Italian or British company? Thanks

Different sectors have different pay days. My partner is also paid on the 10th. Government workers like teachers are paid on a different date and I think that commerce might be a different date again.

This might be a stupid question, but if you are due to be paid on the 10th but the 10th is a Sunday, do you get paid on the 8th instead? Or on Monday 11th? I'm assuming on the 8th but you never know =)
