I'd also like to add, that we welcome all here, however this site is aimed at British citizens living all around the world and the content of this site reflects that. A Brit abroad is quite entitled to have a moan, and doing it here offers them a safe place to do just that, so they don't unintentionally upset their friends and neighbours in their new country.
We all need a vent now and again. So if someone who isn't British comes to this site and doesn't like that, then you might be better off on a forum that meets your needs. I know it sounds blunt but it needs to be said.
Thanks, now back to the topic in hand:

I still haven't figured out what position your president has on the Euro.
Mind you your president is the one that compared the Colosseum to the Giant's Stadium so I don't hold much hope there....

Have a read of this
1. Personal Attacks
BritishExpats.com is an interactive site, and everyone who participates is “in it togetherâ€, please treat others the way you wish to be treated. Personal attacks will not be tolerated. Challenge others’ points of view and opinions, but do so respectfully and thoughtfully … without insult or personal attack.

You would do well to heed the words Sue wrote to you. Your current post tone and content to others is not OK .
You are welcome to interact with others on BE and to start controversial threads if you so wish . TIO is best for that. Or perhaps participate helpfully in the Singapore forum which is where you actually live it seems. However, you need to do that within the confines of the BE rules & guidelines . Something you have not been doing.
I hope we have an understanding now .
If not, feel free to PM me and I will ensure further clarity for you.
Apologies to all other Italy forum users for needing to come into the thread
Hopefully onward ho.

You're not the only one not holding out much hope .

That is a comment made by one of your moderators on this forum. Do you think it is acceptable?
If you think that sort of statement, made by a moderator, is acceptable, then I rest my case.
Maybe you should post some of the regulations that apply to moderators too. I would hope the word objective and impartial have a bearing on said regs.

I would suggest you have a look at my signature.

We're still forum members, albeit unpaid volunteers as well!

Hope that clarifies things for you. If you've still got further issues, then take it up with Sue instead of endless snide digs at the mods.
Thx.

Believe it or not, moderators are allowed opinions too, and to express them freely as long as they are within site rules. We don't have any different 'regulations', we just have to abide by the site rules like the rest of you.

But her opinion on the Euro isn't what I meant (and tbh, as an admin, I'm not sure she'd give her opinions on a political subject), I meant that if you have an issue with mod actions take it up with Sue. She's the boss!
HTH.

>>Sue what do you think about the Euro and Renzi?
I still haven't figured out what position your president has on the Euro.
Mind you your president is the one that compared the Colosseum to the Giant's Stadium so I don't hold much hope there....

The post is pasted above and seems a typically off topic post about the Colosseum.
If the mods will separate the Colosseum topic (I won't address it here as it so so off topic) I will address it.
I had forgotten about this incident.
Then I remembered.
A short while a young Italian I know was angry about this episode and raised it with me.
The full story might be enlightening for forum members contemplating Italy.
Back to Renzi and the Eurozone - thanks for the extra info Sancho.

I'd guess that Sue may not have replied because it didn't look like an honest post/question but yet another dig.

Offer to address Colosseum withdrawn.
I was daft to make it.
Feel free mods to delete this post and one above.

Please do start the topic.
I'm not sure if you are aware , but there is a facility to choose to put another user on 'ignore'. That way you don't have to read or see their posts. Can be very useful.

I have split the above posts away from the Italy and Eurozone thread.
Cutting back to the chase.
Fleetwoodmac1975. You have been asked to be more mindful of your post tone and content to others . No more and no less. That's it. Bottom line.
You deflecting to other BE users/mods makes no difference to the above. It is your posts that you need to concern yourself with
