Is there anyone here who has been in a similar visa situation to mine?
I’m a mother of three and have already arranged schooling and property, but I’m struggling with the visa requirements for an elective visa. I’m unable to include my husband’s salary (as he will remain in the UK), or our joint pensions, savings, or shares. Only “passive income†in my own name is permitted, and it falls just short of the required amount.
Any advice would be very gratefully received.

Where did you obtain the income requirement? I have the impression that it varies depending on who you ask. I think the minimum is €31k for a single person. If you have dependents they might want more.
If your income is very close it might be worth submitting your EV application. You could try asking advice at the CAF or CGIL offices.
