Having achieved complete thread hijack with my very first post I was going to start again when we have the keys in our sweaty hands later in October . . . but thanks to you (and others) for the welcome.

Our daughters have loved living in Brighton to the extent that one has gone to Paris and the other is en route to Australia to seek fame and fortune. If your daughter ever does make the trip get in contact and she would be welcome to stay in our house here.

It's never a good idea to put one's private email address on an open forum so I have removed it. You can use British Expats in-house email service or you can use the private messaging service (after 3 posts).
Just click on a member's name on the left hand side of the page and a drop down menu of options will appear.
