Hi Everyone
We are moving back to the UK from Como, Italy sometime in October and wondered by chance whether anyone has an empty van going back to the UK that we could use.
Either that or does anyone have any recommendations for removals or van hire from Italy to the UK?
Many thanks
Sarah

We are also looking to do the same from Lucca, October may be a bit early for us, so may be November.
Just wondered if you'd had any luck in your search?

From: Brighton UK (for now . . . )

[Contents of the van very much determined by the experiences of others as recorded on this site: linen, pans, light fittings . . . plus a huge amount of books bought (but never read) in the UK - we have a recurrent fantasy of reading by the fire with a glass of wine and some good cheese. Rogito booked, can't believe how smoothly the purchase has gone so far. Prepared for last minute hitches, mind you.]

Probably a rather rude first post, but we are looking to send a small/medium vanload over to Umbria later this year. Very flexible on dates.

It sounds like you've been reading up on what to bring. Don't forget t-bags, the kettle and cheap medicines.
Sitting by the fire with a good book, wine and cheese sounds lovely.

The BH has always shunned cheese and a number of other things but over the past year has gradually given in and agreed "that was a nice one, any more" which is a pleasant surprise.
However, I have many books but none that I haven't read at least twice and that includes those on accounting and management. Currently on the George RR Martin Throne of Thorns series for the third time.
Nothing better than holding a book and turning the pages -can't understand why the BH wants to get me a Kindly thing for my birthday.
Enjoy Italy, it only just lost out to Spain for me because the BH got a job transfer here.

kettle is no longer a must since LIDL have them on offer quite regularly (with the matching toaster). Welcome to Italy. Whereabouts in Umbria, I just spent the weekend at Terni and Orvieto. It was lovely but strenuous (all those up and downs)!

Welcome to the Forum....
Funny, but we've been here for 3 years and it's my daughter's fantasy to live in Brighton!
