meeting expats

Re: meeting expats
We all moved to Italy for a reason..The way of life and what it has to offer:
Yes they are 10 years behind the UK and in some ways I think it is a good thing.
They may be a bit racist to us now..BUT remember the UK "love thy neighbour" great funny TV program, the golliwog on jam jar..
Was we ever really racist? no I do not think so...I think that all these do gooders have spoilt what was normal.....I think that every country is a bit racist in its own way
I think Live and let live: We are in another country and should (not have to like) except their way of life.....

Re: meeting expats
Accepting the Italian way of life doesn't mean we also have to like every aspect of it.
I like pizza but I don't want to eat it every day. I like Yorkshire puddings but I don't make them every day either.
Just as there are things I dislike about Italy, there are things I dislike in the UK too.

Re: meeting expats
sorry Bricwood but I think what you have posted is rude ! I hope that I never bump into you, especially as you have already prejudged me simply on the fact I'm a so-callled expat. Well I'm judging you on your 'intelligent' posts and I think you are narrow minded and prejudiced.
Like Duffer said - I am proud to be British (most of the time). This forum is a great place to exchange ideas/views/information and the majority of us are respectful of each others opinions. Sorry the same cant be said of you.
